Where the story begins
The story of Qazzaz Coffee begins not in a café, but on the lush coffee farms of Brazil. Our founder, Anwar Qazzaz Abu Dawood, traveled to Brazil in the 1950s carrying a deep reverence for coffee — a drink woven into the fabric of his culture for generations. There, he didn't just taste coffee; he studied it. He walked the farms, learned the soil, and understood what separates a forgettable cup from an unforgettable one.
That knowledge, gathered across two continents and a lifetime of dedication, became the foundation of Qazzaz Coffee when it was established in 1965. Every roast we craft today carries that spirit — the belief that coffee is a craft worth pursuing without compromise.
Today in Allen Park, we carry that legacy forward. Every bean we serve is sourced with intention and roasted in-house, honoring Abu Dawood's commitment to quality. We're more than a café — we're a neighborhood anchor where regulars are greeted by name and guests sometimes drive 90 minutes just to be here.
